Longing for a holiday? Let’s get packing! (Chapter one)

Chiudiamo gli occhi e sogniamo di essere già in vacanza: mare, sole, spiagge bianche… Ma, perché no, anche un week end non troppo lontano, ormai inizia ad essere la stagione delle fughe dalla città il venerdì pomeriggio!

Ed ecco che subito ci chiediamo: cosa metto in valigia?

Close your eyes and dream of being already on holiday: sun, sea, white beaches … And, why not, even just for a not so far away weekend, its the season for getting out of the city on Friday afternoons!

And so to the question: what do I pack?

Sfogliando alcune riviste, mi sono imbattuta su quest’immagine, che trovo bellissima, di Grace Kelly, raffinatissima come sempre, ritratta in una scena del film “Caccia al Ladro” di Alfred Hitchcock.

Browsing through some magazines, I came across this image of Grace Kelly in a scene from the film “To Catch a Thief” by Alfred Hitchcock which I find very beautiful, refined as always.

Da qui i miei tips di oggi che partono da una semplice considerazione: perché non osare anche noi, quest’estate al mare, un look anni ’50? 😉

So my tips today come from a simple consideration: why don’t we too show-off a 50’s look this summer at the beach?

COSTUMI

Gli ultimi trends segnalano un forte ritorno del due pezzi costruito, con slip alto che segni la vita, reggiseno a balconcino, fantasie tipo broccato, oppure a piccoli quadri vichy in colori tenui iper femminili.

SWIMWEAR
The latest trends show a strong return of constructed two-piece swimsuits with high-waisted bottoms and under-wired tops, with brocade patterns or small vichy checks in very feminine subtle colors.

Per spostarci in spiaggia, andare al bar o solo fare due passi in riva al mare opterei, invece, per un costume intero, fantasia, con stampa dai toni del rosa al cobalto…

For getting around the beach, going to the bar or just or a walk along the shore, I would opt for a one-piece swimsuit, printed, with shades of pink to cobalt…

Personalmente per andare in spiaggia metterei questa zeppa in suede rosa e la borsa in Paglia di Vienna… molto retrò ma iperfemminili!
